Interview
“Where oh Where”
There are hundreds of employment seekers out there. It’s finding the fit within the “Culture” that is the key in ensuring happy Employees and happy Employers.

Posting the available position also has it’s key elements.
- Description
- What is it about?
- Requirements
- Certfification(s)
- Qualification(s)
- Experience
There are many posts making mention that skill levels and qualifications have to be on par, but there are also posts indicating the persona or EQ side of the applicant be great. Let’s face it – having the relevant “ticks in the boxes” help, but it’s in the interview, that the panel has the final say. Does this power play seem fair?

Where does this person fit in, within the current Demographic of the company?
Is the skill level what we need, based on our initial requirements – or do we now want more?
Recruiting a person to fit into the Business is at best a roll of the dice. I might know my client and my interaction with possible candidate is a “WOW” – but …
Should our getting out of bed bad days – affect the outcome of the persons interview?
Interviews are tough – Remember, you were once on that receiving end!
Be kind, be gentle, be the person that pulls that individual into their comfort zone, which ultimately will give them the confidence to relay their “experiences” better. This would give you – as interviewer – a better view of the candidate.

If after all of that, the person does not meet criteria, then it just was not meant to be. I read once – “One door closes, another door opens”. As a prospecting candidate, use this to motivate you!
